Privacy policy

How we handle personal data — under the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG).

Last revised: 28 September 2026

01

In short

This website counts visits, but it does not follow anyone across other websites. We measure how often pages are viewed and how fast they load — without cookies, without a persistent identifier, without advertising scripts. Apart from the technical logs every web server keeps, and a hash by which the measurement recognises a visit for at most 24 hours, personal data only arises when you write to us yourself.

02

Responsible party

The party responsible for data processing within the meaning of the revDSG is:

  • Halil Alija — DesignHF
  • Schulhausstrasse 15, 1713 St. Antoni, Switzerland
  • Email: team@designhf.ch

03

Simply visiting the site

You need not provide any personal data to view these pages. We build no visitor profile and set no cookies. We measure which pages are viewed and how often — without a persistent identifier, and we only evaluate the results in aggregate; see “Audience and load-time measurement”.

The typefaces are served from our own server as well. Your browser makes no connection to Google Fonts or any other foreign network for them — so no IP address is transmitted to a third party merely to render text.

04

Server logs at the host

This website is operated by Vercel Inc. Like any web server, it keeps automatic connection logs for technical reasons — typically a truncated IP address, timestamp, requested address, browser type and response status.

These logs serve solely to keep the site secure and stable and to defend against abuse. We do not analyse them for marketing purposes and do not combine them with other data.

05

Audience and load-time measurement

To understand which pages are found and read, and how fast they load, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Both come from our hosting provider Vercel Inc. and are served through this domain — so no further provider is involved.

For each page view the following is recorded: the address viewed, the referring page (such as a search engine), approximate location (country, region, city), device type, operating system and browser with version, and the time. Load-time measurement adds the measured loading values (Core Web Vitals), the type of network connection and the country; to obtain them, the scripts read technical details your browser provides. When an application is successfully submitted through the Clearance form, we count that as an event — with the matter chosen and the language, but without name, email address, phone number or message text.

No cookies are set and nothing is stored on your device. To group the page views of one visit, Vercel derives a hash from the incoming request (such as IP address and browser identifier); this hash is discarded after 24 hours. Until then the measurement data is pseudonymous; afterwards it can no longer be linked to a visit. We only ever evaluate aggregated figures and never combine them with applications from the Clearance form or with any other data.

You can object to the measurement at any time, without giving reasons: with the switch just below, or by having your browser send the “Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” signal — some browsers do so by default or on request; Safari supports neither. Either way, the measurement no longer records your visits.

06

When you contact us

If you get in touch via the clearance request form, by email or by phone, we process the details you yourself provide — usually your name, company, email address, possibly a phone number, and the content of your message.

We use this data solely to answer your enquiry, prepare a preview and discuss a possible engagement. That an application arrived is also counted by the audience measurement — with only the matter and language, see above. We do not sell data and do not pass it to third parties for advertising purposes.

07

Legal basis

Processing rests on your contacting us and on the initiation or performance of a contractual relationship. Where we ask for your consent — for instance to remember your choice of language — you may withdraw it at any time and without disadvantage.

Audience and load-time measurement rests on our legitimate interest in keeping this website findable, understandable and fast. We do not ask for consent for it, because nothing is stored on your device and the scripts only read technical details your browser provides anyway; you can nevertheless object at any time, as described under “Audience and load-time measurement”.

08

Processors

To operate this website and answer enquiries we use carefully selected providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Vercel Inc. — hosting and delivery of the website, and audience and load-time measurement (Web Analytics, Speed Insights)
  • Hostpoint AG — email services, servers located in Switzerland
  • Supabase Inc. — database in which we record applications from the Clearance form, servers located in Ireland (EU)

09

Disclosure abroad

Our hosting provider and our database provider are domiciled in the USA and may process data outside Switzerland; the applications database itself is located in the EU (Ireland). Through appropriate contractual safeguards — in particular standard contractual clauses — we ensure that an adequate level of protection is maintained.

10

Retention

We keep your details only as long as necessary for the stated purpose or as required by statutory retention periods, after which they are deleted. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted after twelve months at the latest.

The hash Vercel uses to group the page views of one visit is discarded after 24 hours. The individual data points (address, referring page, approximate location, device, operating system, browser, time, loading values and, where applicable, the application event) remain stored without that hash; we can evaluate them for twelve months and only ever see them in aggregate. Vercel may retain them for longer under its own terms.

11

Your rights

Within the scope of applicable data protection law you have, in particular, the following rights:

  • Access to the data processed about you
  • Correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion of your data
  • Restriction of, or objection to, processing
  • Release of your data in a common format
  • Withdrawal of any consent given, at any time and without reason

12

Data security

Transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

13
