The subject yields no image to the camera. Observation continues.
A small flower shop, open on Fridays and by arrangement otherwise — and online, only on Instagram.
The only link in her profile led to a “Coming Soon” page; the opening hours sat on a pinned photo. A Google search could not tell you whether the shop was open.
The first screen is her week: Friday lit, the other six days dimmed and marked “by arrangement”. The dandelion from her shop sign sheds seed after seed as you scroll, and so becomes the progress meter.
No client, just a gap in the market: subscription platforms charge barbers a monthly fee, even in quiet weeks.
There, client chat costs extra and the customer relationship belongs to the platform. Built for the platform, not for the chair.
An iOS app and a website where customers find barbers nearby, pick a slot and pay online. The platform earns only on a paid booking: no subscription, chat included.
A sports-car rental with five cars on a site-builder template — and owners who wanted their website to feel like a racing game.
A game may invent; a rental may not. Whoever rents has to see the exact car they will get.
The home page is a game lobby — pick the car with the arrow keys or a swipe, and the car cleaning runs as a cutscene. Before pick-up and rate, every rental page shows the real photos of the car you rent.
